By traingle law of vector addition

X^2 = 5^2 + 5^2 + 2 ×5×5×cos60

= 25 +25+ 5 × 5

= 75

 \sqrt{75}  = 5 \sqrt{3}

By traingle law of vector subtraction

y^2 = 5^2 + 5^2 - 2 ×5×5×cos60

=25 +25- 5 × 5

=25 y=5
