Two vertices of a trangle a b c are given by a (2,3) and b (-2,1) and it's centroid is g (1, 2/3) find the corridiantes of the third

Let the coordinates of C be x and y.

coordinates of a = (2,3) and b = (-2,1)

centroid of triangle = (x1+x2+x3/3, y1+y2+y3/3)

so,

2-2+x/3 = 1

=> x/3 = 1

=> x = 3

similiarly for y

3+1+y/3 = 2/3

4+y = 2

=> y = -2

therefore x coordinate of C is 3 and y coordinate is -2.
