In one litre of 1st solution:
Spirit = 0.5 or 50% = 500 ml
Water = 500 ml
So, 2 litres of 1st solution will have:
Spirit = 500 x 2 = 1000 ml
Water = 500 x 2 = 1000 ml
In one litre of 2nd solution:
Spirit = 0.75 or 75% = 750 ml
Water = 250 ml
So, 3 litres of 2nd solution will have:
Spirit = 750 x 3 = 2250 ml
Water = 250 x 3 = 750 ml
Resulting mixture will have:
Spirit = 1000 + 2250 = 3250 ml
Water = 1000 + 750 = 1750 ml
Ratio of spirit and water will be:
3250/1750 = 65/35 = 13/7
And concentration will be 65/(65 + 30) = 65%
Spirit = 0.5 or 50% = 500 ml
Water = 500 ml
So, 2 litres of 1st solution will have:
Spirit = 500 x 2 = 1000 ml
Water = 500 x 2 = 1000 ml
In one litre of 2nd solution:
Spirit = 0.75 or 75% = 750 ml
Water = 250 ml
So, 3 litres of 2nd solution will have:
Spirit = 750 x 3 = 2250 ml
Water = 250 x 3 = 750 ml
Resulting mixture will have:
Spirit = 1000 + 2250 = 3250 ml
Water = 1000 + 750 = 1750 ml
Ratio of spirit and water will be:
3250/1750 = 65/35 = 13/7
And concentration will be 65/(65 + 30) = 65%
