Answer:

Total amount of milk = 5 1/6 = 31/6

milk in first vessel = 3 1/4 = 13/ 4

milk in second vessel = 31/6 - 13/4

LCM of 6 and 4 = 12

31/6 = 62/12

13/4 = 39/12

62/12-39/12 = 23/12 = 1 11/12

VERIFICATION

Total milk = 62/12

milk in first vessel = 39/12

milk in second vessel = 23/12

Add the milk of vessel 1 and 2 to get 62/12

39/12 + 23/12 = 62/12
