Answer:

Capacity of two tankers are 850 L and 680 L.

Maximum capacity of container is the HCF of 850 and 680.

∴ HCF = 170

So, maximum capacity of container = 170 L

Answer:

It's gonna be solved by hcf long division method

Max capacity for the container

HCF 960 and 1080 =120

Times we have to fill the container to empty the two water tanks.

Divide 960 by 120-8. (1st tank)

Divide 1080 by 120-9. (2nd tank)

8+9=17

RESULTS: maximum capacity for the container is 120 and we have to fill the container 17 times to empty the two water tanks
