Two waves are represented by the equations
y₁ = a sin (⍵t + kx + 0.57) m and y₂ = a cos (⍵t + kx) m, where
x is in meter and t in sec. The phase difference between
them is
(a) 1.0 radian (b) 1.25 radian
(c) 1.57 radian (d) 0.57 radian

Explanation:

first write both equations in terms of sin

y 1= a \: sin \ (\omega \: t + kx + 0.57) \\ y2 = a \sin (\omega \: t \:  + kx + \ \: \frac{\pi}{2} )

  \delta \: \phi \:   =  \phi2 - \phi1  \\

when we are converting cos equation into sin we must add

 \frac{\pi}{2}

phase difference is

The answer is option C
