(i) Loudness is proportional to amplitude square
Ratio of loudness= 1/3square = 1:9
(ii) Frequency of the sound wave has no effect on amplitude.
so, ratios of frequency remains same that is 1:1

Answer:

1) 1:9 2) 1:1

Explanation:

1) since loudness is directly proportional to square of amplitude

Loudness ~ (amplitude) ^2

So,

ratio of loudness =

(ratio of amplitude) ^2

2) since pitch is given as same

and frequency don't depend on amplitude.

So ratio is 1:1 I.e both frequencies are of same magnitude
