The plants lose huge amounts of water due to the evaporation through the leaf pores that are termed as stomata.
The upward movement of the water from the roots to the leaves is scientifically known as transpiration, which results in more water loss from leaf surfaces.
Another way of water loss in plants is the photosynthesis, where the plant uses some amounts of water for making the necessary foods, with the help of chlorophyll.
