a) total parts 5x+4x = 9x

9x = 153

x= 17 then 5x and 4x ie. 5x17=85

4x17 = 68

So, (a) can be the ratio.

Similarly (b) &(d) can be the ratios.

Consider (c):

13x+4x=17x

17 x = 153 and x=153/17 which is not a whole number since 153 is not divisible by 17.

Hence, c) 13: 4 can not be in the ratio.

(C) is the correct answer.
