Answer:

here is your answer dear:-

As R=ρl/Aandρ for iron is more than that for copper, the iron wire has more resistance.

hope it's help you ✌️

QuestioN :

Two wires are of the same length, same radius but one of them is of copper and the other is iron which will have more resistance.

ANswer :

Iron will have more resistance.

Explaination:

  • We know that Resistance is directly proportional to Resistivity because of the formula R = ρ l ÷ A

R ∝ ρ

  • If the resistivity increases, the resistance also increases.
  • Copper has a resistivity of 1.62 × 10⁻⁸ whereas Iron has a resistivity of 10 × 10⁻⁸.

So, iron has a higher resistivity and therefore higher resistance.

Know more :

★ Silver and copper are the best conductors of electricity because they have the least resistivity.

★ Diamond and dry paper are insulators and cannot conduct electricity because they have very high resistivity.
