Two wires,one of copper and other of manganin, have equal lengths and equal resistances.Which wire is thicker ?Given that resistivity of copper is lower than that of manganin.

Answer:

Copper has less resistivity than Manganin. As resistivity is directly proportional to area of cross section, Copper has less area of cross scetion than manganin. Hence, Copper wire is thinner than manganin wire

And Manganin wire is thicker than copper wire
