In image last part has some mistake.correct one is
x-2y=10
x-2×20=10
x-40=10
x=10+40
x=50 years
hence present age of "a" is 50 years & "b" is 20 years.

Answer:

let the age of A=x

at the age of B =y

ATFP

x-6=3(y-6)

x-6=3y-18

x-3y=-18+6

x-3y=-12------(1)

ATSP

x+4=2(y+4)

x+4=2y+8

x-2y=8-4

x-2y =4-----(2)

BY Eqn 1 and 2

x-3y=-12

x-2y =4

by elemation method

-y=-18

y=18

put the value of y in eqn 2

x-2y =4

×-2 (18)=4

x-36=4

x=4+36

x=40
