Let the age of son be x years.

Then Two years ago,

Son's age = x -2

Mohit's age = 3(x-2)

Two years hence,

Son's age = x+2

Mohit's age = 3(x-2 ) + 4 ( 2 years will bring him to present and another two, to two years hence)

A/Q

2 × 3(x-2)+4 = 5(x+2)

2(3x-6+4) =5x+10

6x-12+8=5x+10

6x-4=5x+10

6x-5x=10+4

x=14

So, son's age =14 years

Mohit's age = 3(x-2) +2 ( +2 is for bringing him to present from two years back age)

=3(14-2)+2

=3×12+2

=36+2

=38 years
