let the ages of MrA and his son be x and y respectively.

Two years ago,

Age of MrA = x-2

Age of his son = y-2

ATQ,

x-2 = 3(y-2)

=> x= 3y-4 -------eq(i)

Two years hence,

Age of MrA = x+2

Age of his son = y+2

ATQ,

x+2 = 2(y+2)

=> x = 2y +2

=>3y-4 = 2y+2 ------by eq(i)

=>y= 6

So, x = 3*6 - 4 = 14

Therefore, there present ages = 14 and 6

is this really the given question? because this is the answer to this question
