Given :-

Age of Raju 2 years ago = Present age - 2

Age of daughter 2 years ago = Present age - 2

Age of Raju 6 years after = Present age + 6

Age of daughter 6 years after = Present age + 6

To Find :-

Present age of Raju.

Present age of his daughter.

Solution :-

Let us consider,

Present age of Raju = x

Present age of daughter = y

Two years back,

Age of Raju = x - 2

Age of daughter = y - 2

According to the question,

\sf x-2=3(y-2)

\sf x-3y=-4 \qquad ...(1)

Six years later,

Age of Raju = x + 6

Age of daughter = y + 6

As per the given info,

\sf x+6=2(y+6)+4

\sf x-2y=10 \qquad ...(2)

Subtracting equation (2) from (1),

\sf -y=-14

\sf y=14

Therefore, the present age of daughter is 14 years.

Substituting the value of y in equation (1),

\sf x-3 \times 14=-4

\sf x=38

Therefore, the present age of Raju is 38 years.
