Let the present age of Salim and his daughter be X And Y.
before two years age of Salim = X-2
before two years age of his daughter = Y-2
A/Q,
X-2 = 3(Y-2)
X-2 = 3y-6
X-3y = -6+2
X-3Y = -4...(1)
after 6 years age of Salim = X +6
after 6 years age of his daughter = Y+6
A/Q,
X+6 = 2(Y+6)+4
X+6 = 2Y +16
X-2Y = 16-6
X-2Y = 10..(2)
From (1),
we get,
X = -4+3Y..(3)
Put this value in (2)
X-2Y = 10
-4+3Y-2Y = 10
Y = 10+4
Y = 14.
Therefore,
Age of Salim = -4+3Y = -4+3×14= -4+42= 38
and of his daughter= 14 year's
