after 6 years age of his daughter = Y+6

X+6 = 2(Y+6)+4
X+6 = 2Y +16
X-2Y = 16-6
X-2Y = 10..(2)
From (1),
we get,
X = -4+3Y..(3)
Put this value in (2)
X-2Y = 10
-4+3Y-2Y = 10
Y = 10+4
Y = 14.
Therefore,
Age of Salim = -4+3Y = -4+3×14= -4+42= 38
and of his daughter= 14 year's
