Let the age of daughter before 2 years be x
so Salim's age before two years = 3x
age of daughter today = x +2
so Salim's age today = 3x + 2
age of daughter after 6 years = x + 8
so Salim's age after 6 years = 3x + 8
according to given condition ,
3x + 8 = 2 ( x + 8 ) + 4
3x + 4 = 2x + 16
x = 12 years
so daughter's today's age = x + 2
= 12 + 2
= 14 years
Salim's today's age = 3x +2
= 3 × 12 +2
= 38 years
so Salim's age before two years = 3x
age of daughter today = x +2
so Salim's age today = 3x + 2
age of daughter after 6 years = x + 8
so Salim's age after 6 years = 3x + 8
according to given condition ,
3x + 8 = 2 ( x + 8 ) + 4
3x + 4 = 2x + 16
x = 12 years
so daughter's today's age = x + 2
= 12 + 2
= 14 years
Salim's today's age = 3x +2
= 3 × 12 +2
= 38 years
