Let present age of shourya = 'x'.

And present age of priyanka='y'

Then,

Shourya's age 3yrs ago = x-3

Priyanka's 3yrs ago = y-3.

According to question :

$\implies \sf x - 3 = y - 3 + 6 \\ \\ \implies \sf \: x - 3 = y + 3 \\ \\ \implies \sf \: x = y + 3 + 3 \\ \\ \implies \sf \: x = y + 6 \longrightarrow \: (1)$

Given that,Shourya is thrice as old as she is now.

Hence,

» x = 3y

Substitute this value of x in eqn (1):-

$\implies \sf \: y + 6 = 3y \\ \\ \implies \sf \: 2y = 6 \\ \\ \implies \sf \boxed{\bold{ y = 3}}$

Substituiting value in y in eqn (1) :-

$\implies \sf \: x = y + 6 \\ \\ \implies \sf \: x = 3 + 6 \\ \\ \implies \boxed{\bold{x = 9}}$

Therefore,
