let x be the present age of swati
then x-2 = 3(y - 2) that is x = 3y - 6 + 2 = 3y-4
and x+10 = 2(y+10) that is x = 2y + 20 - 10= 2y +10

y = 14 and putting y in any of the above equation we get x = 38
