Twp circles of radi 8 cm and 6 cm intersect at two points and the distance between their centres is 10 cm. The length of common chord is?

Approx 2*7 and exact ans is (root over 48)*2
oli04: take the line connected to centers as x and 10-x
oli04: take half of the chord as y
oli04: the the equations of pythogorous theorem
oli04: and equate y
oli04: and then solve for x
oli04: and substitute in the equations
oli04: and get Y by again using pythogorous theorem
