Given:

✭ Total distance travelled = 1900 km

✭ Average speed of bus = 60 km/hr

✭ Average speed of aeroplane = 700 km/hr

✭ Total time taken = 5 hours

To Find:

◈ Distance travelled by bus

Solution:

Let distance travelled by bus be x km

Hence,

➝ Distance travelled by areoplane = 1900 - x km

We know that

➳ Time = Distance/Speed

➳ Time taken by bus = x/60

➳ Time taken by aeroplane = 1900 - x/700

Therefore,

⪼ x/60 + 1900 - x/700 = 5

[On cross multiplying]

➢ 700 x + 114000 - 60x/42000 = 5

➢ 640x + 114000 = 210000

➢ 640x = 210000 - 114000

➢ 640x = 96000

➢ x = 96000/640

x = 150

Hence the distance travelled by bus is 150 km

GivEn :-

  • Average speed travelled by bus = 60km/h

  • Average speed travelled by Aeroplane = 700km/h

  • Total Time taken = 5 Hours

  • Total distance Travelled = 1900km

To FinD :-

  • The distance Travelled by Vishal By Bus

CalculaTioN :-

We are given to find the distance travelled by Vishal On Bus.

  • Let x be the distance Travelled by Bus

  • Distance Travelled by aeroplane = 1900 - x km

Now,

 \bold{ \pink{★Time = \frac{Displacement}{Speed} }{} }{} \\

Time Taken by Bus = x Km / 60

Time Taken by aeroplane = 1900 - x / 700

 \frac{x}{60}  + 1900 -  \frac{x}{700}  = 5  \\  \\  \bold{By \: cross \: multiplication}{}  \\  \\ 700x + 114000 -  \frac{60x}{4200}  = 5 \\  \\ 640x + 11400 = 210000 \\  \\ 640x = 96000 \\  \\  \bold{ \red{x = 150km}{} }{}

Hence the distance travelled by bus = 150km.
