TYPE 1

It is a mainly inherited form of the disease. It is most common in children and young adults.The main symptom of the disease is little or no Insulin production by the pancreas, and patients need daily insulin injections to survive.Though survivable, the disease in adults is mostly fatal.

TYPE 2

It is mainly theorized to be caused by lifestyle choices. It is the most common form of the disease, accounting for nearly 90% of all cases in adults, where it is most common.When you have Type 2 diabetes, your body cannot make use of the insulin it produces.Most people with type 2 diabetes will require oral drugs and/or insulin to keep their blood glucose levels under control.
