three types of diabetes are there. type 1 is believed to be an auto immune system. this means your immune system mistakenly attacks and destroys the beta cells of pancreas. type2 diabetes starts as insulin resistance. this means your body cannot use insulin efficiently. type 3 is gestational diabetes . it is due to insulin blocking hormones during pregnancy.
