There are seven types of plant tissue
Meristematic: It's main function is mistois .The cells are small, thin walled with no central vacuole

Protective tissue :It covers surface of leaves and living cell of roots. It's cells are flattened with their top and bottom surfaces parallel.

Parenchyma: They are usually stuffed with plastids. The cells are large, thin walled and usually have a large centrel vacuole.

Sclerenchyma: This gives the cell mechanical support. The walls of the cells are thick

Collenchyma: This gives the mechanical support for the plants. The cell wall is very thick especially the corners.

Xylem: It conducts water and dissolved minerals from the roots to all parts of the plant. These are thick walled tubes.

Pholem: The components are sieve elements and companion cells
The sieve tubes conducts the products of photosynthesis
Companion cells move sugars, amino acids and various macromolecules into and out of the sieve elements.
