Types of Amendments :-
The constitution can be amended in 3 ways :-
√ Amendment by simple majority of parliament.
√ Amendment by special majority of parliament.
√ Amendment by special majority of parliament and the ratification of half of the state legislature.
- By simple majority, i.e., majority of the members of each house present and voting.
- By special majority, i.e., a majority of the total membership of each house + majority of ⅔ members of each house present and voting.
Total membership = Total no. of members irrespective of vacancies and absentees.
