Types of Beam of light:

• Beams of light can be parallel. Here the light rays never meet each other. But the distance between the rays of the light doesn't increase or decrease as they pass against each other.  

• In case of the converging beam the ray of light converge towards a point and the image is diminished to a point.  

• In case of the divergent ray, the rays of the light go out from a point in such a way that the distance between the ‘rays of light’ gradually increase as they pass.
