There are three types of cartilage -

1. hyaline

2. elastic

3. fibro

Hyaline - most common, found in the ribs, nose, larynx, trachea.

Elastic - is found in the external ear, epiglottis and larynx.

fibro - it is found in invertibral discs , ligaments.
