rapid combustion- when a fuel burns rapidly and produces heat and light,this combustion is known as rapid combustion.
spontaneous combustion- the type of combustion in which a material suddenly bursts into flames, without the application of any apparent cause.
explosion- such a reaction in which ignition causes a sudden reaction with the evolution of heat, light and sound.

ideal fuel:
-readily available
-cheap
-burnt easily in air at moderate rate
-produces a large amount of heat
-no unwanted substances are left behind.
