Heterotrophic Mode of Nutrition : It is that kind of nutrition in which organisms obtain their food from other organisms.

There are 3 types of heterotrophic mode of nutrition:

1.Saprophytic Mode of Nutrition : It is that kind of heterotrophic mode of nutrition in which organism obtain their food from dead and decaying matter by releasing enzymes on that matter and then absorb it. For Example Mushroom, Bread Mould use saprophytic mode of nutrition.

2.Parasitic Mode of Nutrition: It is that kind of heterotrophic mode of nutrition in which organism ( parasite) obtain their food from other organism known as host without killing him. For example Cascutta , Ascaris are parasites.

3. Holozioc Mode of Nutrition: It is that kind of heterotrophic mode of nutrition in which organism as a whole take food in mouth and then digest it. For example human beings, animals etc.
