Rectilinear motion- Motion along a straight path is called Rectilinear motion.

EX- Car on a straight road.

Curvilinear motion- Motion along with a curved line is called curvilinear motion.

EX- Movement of the tip of a pen.

Oscillatory motion- An object is said to have oscillatory motion when it moves to and fro along the same path in a periodic manner.

EX- The movement of a penduleum.

Rotational motion- Motion in which an object turns round and round(around it's axis) without changing it's position.

EX- Movement of earth around it's axis

Revolutional motion- Motion in which an object moves around a central path in a (almost) circle changing it's position continuesly is called an revolutional motion.

EX- The movement of earth around the Sun.

Circular motion- A motion in which an object changes it's position along a circular path is called an circular motion.

EX- A stone which is tied to a rope and is being swung in a circular way

Periodic motion- A motion in which an object repeats itself at a regular interval of time(in a periodic way).

EX- Movement of moon around Earth

Non periodic motion- A motion that doesn't repeats itself or repeats in a non periodic manner.

EX- Swaying of the branches of a tree
