The types of ores that can be concentrated by froth floatation process are sulphides ores.
Froth floatation is method that is used to separate materials on the basis of their orientation towards water i.e. hydrophilic or hydrophobic. Various types of sulphide ores such as galena (PbS) are concentrated using froth floatation method in presence of alkali and CuSO4 which acts as depressants and activators respectively.
