  • How often ?
  • For what reason ?

1. They moved to a new city the previous week .

Here , the previous week is the answer of when ?

So , it is an adverb phrase

Adjective Phrase ::

It is a phrase which plays the role of adjective in a sentence

When adjectives are accompanied by other words like determiners , modifiers

The adjective in an adjective phrase may be modified by an adverb  

Example :-  

He wore a turban made of silk  

Here , made of silk is modifying ‘turban’  

So , it is an adverb phrase
