The forests, covering about one-fourth of the land area, consist of both moist deciduous and dry savanna vegetation; teak, rosewood, wild fruit trees, and bamboo are plentiful. Elsewhere in the state, neem (which produces an aromatic oil), banyan, mango, and pipal (or Bo; Ficusreligiosa) are among the common trees.

Telangana has a moist deciduous forest. In these forest trees like sandalwood, rosewood, teakwood, bamboo is found in abundance.
The plains are also found with trees like mango, neem, and Mahogany. Vegetables like Onion, tomato, brinjal are also cultivated in villages around Telangana.
The state receives water from the Krishna river basin, making the state rich in vegetable cultivation. Most of the vegetable produced in the state is transported to nearby districts like Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh making the economy of the state flourishing.
