There are three types of saccharides :

1} Monosaccharide:

It is the simple carbohydrate made up of only one monomer. It is the unit of carbohydrate.

e.g. Glucose.

2} Disaccharide:

It is made up of two Monosaccharide molecules.

e.g. Sucrose.

3} Polysaccharide:

It is made up of more than two Monosaccharide molecules.

e.g. Cellulose.
