A sentence is a group of words that makes complete sense. Sentences may be statements
(declarative sentences), questions interrogative sentences — Yes/No type questions, 'wh'
questions and question tags), commands, requests and advice (imperative sentences), and
exclamatory sentences.
Statements may be positive (or affirmative) or negative.
