c. The south east trade winds influence Indian climate by crossing the equator and blowing from the south west direction towards the Indian subcontinent during the summer season.

d. This is in response to the heating of the northern plains which results in the uplifting of the air. The trade winds that rush to replace this air are laden with moisture and cause rainfall on striking barriers in the land. This phenomenon is known as monsoon.
