The clothing, housing styles, food and building materials all represent topography of a region. As all these things determine the temperature of that area. and so thus clothing varies from region to region. As the areas with cold climate the houses are made up of wood with more insulation while in hot area muddy houses are seen with light thin clothing

Places and regions of the world may be close to the sea, high up on the mountains, in earthquake or flood prone areas, with low or high temperatures etc. Rural houses are constructed accordingly, so that they can withstand the vagaries of the weather or natural calamities as much as possible. The local inhabitants also dress accordingly, e.g. heavy woolen clothing in cooler climatic regions and very light clothing in places the temperature just does not go below a certain level. In places where the rainfall is heavy, a big hat is worn for protection from the rain, while working in the fields. In places where the weather changes seasonally, the dress code also changes accordingly.
