2x2 - 12x + m + 2 = 0 is 2.​

p+q = - (-12)/2 and pq = (m+2)/2

Now, (p-q)2 = p2-2pq+q2 = p2-2pq+q2+2pq-2pq = p2+2pq+q2-4pq = (p+q)2 - 4pq

Now, p-q = 2

So, 2^2 = 6^2-4.(m+2)/2

=> 4 = 36 - 2(m+2)

=> 4 = 36 - 2m - 4

=> m = 14
