a is 5km/h by second equation of motion by third equation of motion you get distance

v2-u2=2as

40×40 =2×9.8×h

h=400/49

and by now second equation of motion

s=ut+1/2at2

s=0×t+1/2×9.8×t2

400/49= 1/2×9.8×t2

t2=1.6

a=v-u /t

a2=40-0/1.6

a2=400/16

a2= 25

a=5km/h
