Given:-

  • u = 12m/s
  • a = 0.5 m/s²
  • v = 0 m/s
  • t = 24vs

To find :-

Distance covered (S)

SOLUTION:-

As all we know the equations of motion , From this we know that for finding distance formula we have

S = ut + 1/2 at²

  • S = distance covered
  • t = time taken
  • a = accelartion

Plugging values:-

S = 12(24) + 1/2 (0.5)(24)²

S = 12(24) + 1/2 0.5 × 24 × 24

S = 12(24) + 0.5 × 24 × 12

S = 12(24) [ 1+0.5]

S =288[1.5]

S = 432 m

So, distance covered (S) = 432m

Know more some formulae :-

  • v = u+at
  • v² - u² = 2as
  • s = vt - 1/2 at²
  • a = v-u/t
  • a = v²-u²/2s
  • s = v²-u²/2a
  • u = v-at
