Hey mate ,

Menstrual cycle is an automated process in females .The ovary release an egg every month for the formation of zygote. if fertilisation takes place then to nourish the zygote the vagina makes a thick muscular lining of blood . But if the egg is not fertilised then this lining starts breaking and all this comes out with blood and are called periods which lasts around 5 to 7 days !!!
