Have you ever thought what will be the consequences of such deforestation? ... the trees to a large extent be it forests, any barren land or trees we see on our way to school every day.

Yes I partially agree that imposition of laws can reduce the "rate of deforestation" and  wildlife hunting. But at the same time I also feel that other measures such as involving people in conservation process is also important. Plus people need to be educated about the importance of wildlife. Those people who are hunting should be given jobs if they are unemployed and if someone is doing it for pleasure then he or she should be severely punished and anyone found to be violating laws should be immediately acted upon.
