Dear Diary,
How can I describe the past two days' events to you? It has been traumatizing to say the least. As I had told you earlier, I brought home a small little baby monkey whom I named as 'Bubbly' a few days ago. I found him wandering alone on the trees near our home and caught his attention by treating him with his favourite bananas. To my surprise, he actually came with me to my home! Who would have thought I would raise a monkey in my room! Anyways, I found him much more friendlier than expected. He used to play with a sponge ball in my room and used to spend much of his time staring at the window. At times, he would go out of the window to the trees nearby, and would return by the time the sun set.
However, I knew that my family wouldn't approve of me having a monkey as a pet. I tried all tactics possible to keep him away from my family's eyes. Whenever someone used to visit my room, I used to hide him inside my closet or send him out the window. I was waiting for the right time to reveal his presence. But alas, fate had some other plans for me! Today, while I was sleeping, Bubbly sneaked out through the door of my room and created havoc all around the house. He first visited the kitchen where he broke many utensils and also scared my mom! Later, he tore all of dad's newspapers. He even grabbed a bunch of bananas and threw the peels everywhere. I don't know what made this sudden change in him. However, the punishment had to be borne by none other than, you guessed it, ME!
Father and mother gave me a sound thrashing in the evening for rearing a monkey inside the house, and warned me against bringing it again. We called an animal rescue center, who took him and let him free in the wilderness. Phew, that was one hell of a day, which I'll surely remember for my life. As always, bye till tomorrow!
