James bond is standing on a bridge above the road and his pursuers are getting too close. He spots a flat bed
truck loaded with mattresses approaching at 30 m/s which he measures by knowing that the telephones poles
the truckis passing are 20m apart in this country. The bed of truck is 20 m below the bridge and bond quickly
calculates how many poles away the truck should be when he jumps down the bridge onto the truck making
his get away. Assume that nearest pole is just below the bridge. How many poles is it?

Answer:
3 poles
Explanation:
assumption:the truck is point mass having more dimensions!
when bond jumps from the bridge:
(taking the downward direction as positive)
s=+20 m
u=0
a=+10 m/s²
thus,s=ut+1/2at²
20=0+1/2*10*t²
t=±2 s (but t≠-2)
thus,t=2 s
in this 2 s,the truck must be at a distance of 30*2 m
or,the truck must be at 60 m
we know the telephone poles at at separation of 20 m each.
so,the truck must be 60/20=3 poles away when bond jumped!
