a)SOLENOID is the name of that coil Ab.

b)

1. The strength of current in the solenoid: Larger the current passed through solenoid, stronger will be the magnetic field produced.

2. The number of turns in the solenoid: Larger the number of turns in the solenoid, greater will be the magnetic field produced.

c)By placing a core inside of a coil the strength of the magnetic field can be increased. By putting a ferrous (iron) core inside a solenoid, the field lines are concentrated. This has the effect of strengthening the field. Inside the core, the field lines are much closer together → stronger field.
