in this process the car have to cover 250+250=500metres relative to bus.

relative velocity of car wrt bus=60-35=25m/s.

so time taken to complete 500m relative distance with 25m/s relative velocity
=500/25=20sec

Hello there,

● Answer-

t = 72 s

● Explanation-

Let vb and vc be speed of car and bus respectively.

Relative speed of car is given by-

vcb = vc - vb

vcb = 60 - 35

vcb = 25 km/h

vcb = 6.95 m/s

Total distance car have to overtake -

s = 250 + 250

s = 500 m

Time taken is calculated by

t = s / vcb

t = 500 / 6.95

t = 72 s

Therefore, the car will be ahead of bus in 72 s.

Hope it helps...
