of 40 cm from the mirror, where is the object placed? where would the image be if the object is moved 20 cm towards

−1=u40

u=−40

f1=v1+u1

=−401−401=−201

⇒f=−20

the image of the object is located at the infinity. As, if the object is moved 20cm towards the mirror, then it lies at the focus of the mirror.
