Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Umesh and Rajkumar together can do a piece of work in 15/2days.
  • Umesh alone can do the same work in 20 days.

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • How long will Rajkumar take to do it alone ?

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

→ (Umesh + Rajkumar) can do a piece of work in = 15/2 days.

→ Per Day work of (Umesh + Rajkumar) = (2/15) units.

Similarly,

Umesh alone can do the same work in = 20 days.

→ Per day work of Umesh = (1/20) units .

Therefore,

Per day work of Rajkumar = (2/15) - (1/20) = (8 - 3)/60 = (5/60) = (1/12) units.

Hence,

Rajkumar alone can do the same work in = 12 Days (Ans.)

\huge{Question:-}

Umesh and Rajkumar together can do a piece of work in 15/2days. If Umesh alone can

do the same work in 20 days, how long will Rajkumar take to do it alone?

\huge{Answer:}

\large{Given:}

Umesh and Rajkumar together can do a piece of work in 15/2days.

Umesh alone can do the same work in 20 days.

\large{To\:Find:}

How long will Rajkumar take to do it alone ?

\large{Solution:}

✔Umesh and Rajkumar can do a piece of work in = 15/2 days.

✔Work done in one day = (2/15) units.

Now,

✔Umesh alone can do the same work in = 20 days.

✔Work done by Umesh in one day = (1/20) units .

so,

✔Work done by Rajkumar in one day = (2/15) - (1/20) = (8 - 3)/60 = (5/60) = (1/12) units.

So,

Rajkumar alone can do the same work in = 12 Days

➡️Hope it helps you :)
