Umesh set up a small factory by investing Rs40,000. During the first three successive year his profit were 5 percent,10 percent,15 percent respectively.If each year the profit was on previous year's capital. calculate his total profit​

Answer:invested = 40000

First year 5%

Profit = 5/100 * 40000

5 * 400 ( two zeros get cancelled )

Profit = ₹2000

Year capital = 40000+2000

=42000

Second year = 10%

Profit = 10/ 100 * 42000

10 * 420

Profit = ₹4200

Year capital = 42000+4200

=46200

Third year = 15%

Profit = 15/100 * 46200

15 * 462

Profit = ₹6930
