Given :

Dimensions of rectangular park -:

length = 110 m

width = 70 m

Rate = 4km/hr

To find :

Time taken to complete 5 rounds

Solution :

Distance travelled in one round = perimeter of the rectangle ..

We know that ,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

= 2(110 + 70)

= 2(180)

= 360 m

Distance covered in 5 rounds =

5 × 360

= 1800 m

1km = 1000 m

1800m = 1.8 km

We know that ,

\leadsto Speed = \frac{distance}{time}

by putting the values..

\implies 4 = \frac{1.8}{time}

by cross multiplication

\implies time \:taken = \frac{1.8}{4}

\implies time \: taken = 0.45 \: hours

1 hour = 60 minutes

0.45 hour =

60 × 0.45 = 4.5 × 6

= 27.0

\purple{\therefore \: time \: taken = 27 \: minutes}

★Question:–

Umesh walks around a rectangular park with length of 110 m and width of 70m at the rate of 4 km/ hr. In how much time.will be complete in five rounds.

★Answer:–

Perimeter of rectangular park=2(length+breath)

Perimeter of rectangular park=2(110+70)

Perimeter of rectangular park==220+149

Perimeter of rectangular park=360m

Now to convert it in km ,

divide by 1000

360/1000=0.36km

rate of umesh walking is 4km/hr to cover 5 rounds he had to cover the distance,

5×0.36=1.8km

umesh covers 1 km in 1/4 hour so time taken to cover,

1.8×1/4=0.45

0.45×60=27 minutes

†Umesh will be complete 5 rounds in 27 minutes†
